Your opportunity to be a part of the Collaboratives |
Whilst participating in the National Primary Care Collaboratives (NPCC) has necessitated examination of existing practice systems (a sometimes painful process), the local practices involved in Wave 1 remain enthusiastically committed. They are encouraged by the positive changes that are already occurring and by being able to track and analyse the results.
When we meet together as a team, there is a sense of camaraderie and shared experience that enriches us all. Sharing stories, ideas, the successes and not so successful attempts, acknowledging the reality of ‘GP land’, and realising that together we can make a difference, are powerful motivators for change. Having shared goals helps us to travel in the same direction.
If you are inspired to be part of the Collaboratives project, you would be joining a group of innovative people who want to effect positive change in their practice systems. Increasing interest is being expressed by practices wishing to join waves 2 and 3 of the NPCC.
The division has been allocated only eight places in each wave and as a result, there are limited vacancies for Wave 2, which starts in October. Wave 3 will start mid 2006. To express an interest please call me at the division on 6622 4453.
