Parent Support
Check out the Northern Rivers Family Care Centre website, which is auspiced by the division, and contains tips and information for parents of babies and toddlers.

The project will expand the services of the Northern Rivers Family Care Centre and aims to normalise the parenting process for new families. Topics such as expectations for specific ages, challenges that may be expected and simple behaviour management techniques will be addressed with parents.

It is anticipated that accessing parenting education at various stages of childhood will become the norm, as currently occurs with antenatal education during pregnancy.

The division’s parent support project is an Early Childhood - Invest to Grow initiative, funded by the Australian Government under the Stronger Families and Communities Strategy.
